One of a Kind

Martin Mull

Variety reports via Apple News that Martin Mull has left us. Not before creating a lot of great stuff though. Educated as a painter, he became a successful musician, before finding even more success as an actor and comedian.

While doing research for Folk Song America I came across his version of Dueling Banjos, which was called Dueling Tubas and reached 92 on the Billboard's Hot 100 in 1973.

Always one of my favorites, I think his influence on comedy was greater than was recogized. But as he once said, Hollywood is like High School, with money.
